Project Life // Week 11 2016

It is Saturday morning and I thought I would come over and do a quick share of my Week 11 Project Life spread. I used several journaling card sets from Studio Calico, but recolored them to match my spread. I love doing that. I think that it, along with typed journaling, might be my favorite parts of doing Hybrid scrapbooking.

My spread is 2 pages with 2 inserts! I had a lot of photos from one day as my family all went to the St. Baldrick’s Brave for the Shave event. My niece, she is 8, had her head shaved by my nephew for Childhood Cancer research. So proud of her and she raised a ton of money which is awesome.

I used several of the “Oh My Hearts & Stars” sets from the shop all mixed and matched through out my spread.

I also used a few of the wood veneer circles from the “Daily Grind” set. The purple ampersand is from the “Punctuate This” set. The color reminds me of what purple jello would look like.

And that is it. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Today is my last day of being in my 30’s, so I am going to celebrate all weekend long.

December Memories//Days 1-5

I know, 2 posts in 1 day!! I can’t believe it myself.

I wanted to get the first few days of my December Memories album on my blog and since I actually have a free moment, I am going to do it right now. I am using the Gossamer Blue December Memories kit, Bits from Ali Edwards December Daily kit, sets from the December Memories collection at Color Cast Designs, One Little Bird, Amber LaBau and Sahlin Studio. I know, that is a lot of products! I am on the Design Teams for several of these and Color Cast Designs is my shop, so there you have it.  I love all of these products so much and am excited to be using all of them! I am not doing my cover until later in the month….truth is, I just haven’t decided what I want to do with it.

So here we go; Title Page is done using the Gossamer Blue kit and Color Cast Designs:

Day 1 using the Gossamer Blue kit, Color Cast Designs and the Black Chipboard “1” is from Ali Edwards shop.

Day 2, I used Gossamer Blue, Color Cast Designs and the pink number “2” is from Ali Edwards shop too. I had the Gold and white envelope left over from last years album.

Day 3 same products as above, but the adorable flair is from Feed Your Craft…love her flair so much! 2015-12-07 14.19 2

Day 4

And Day 5, I cut part of the Dunkin’ Donuts box part and put it in my album…why not, right?!

Back in 2009, I did not do a December Memories album and I have loved these photos so much that I decided to do a spread about them and just stick them in this years album. There are no rules and I might just do this with a few other years where I didn’t do a December Memories album. I used Sahlin Studio for this spread along with a few pieces from Color Cast Designs. I love how it turned out!

I will be back later in the week with more progress of my album! I would love to see your albums, so if you are posting yours somewhere, let me know where!

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Cast Designs Design Team

I am so sorry. I have abandoned my blog. My daughter has been experiencing some serious medical issues for the past month and somethings had to give. My blog was one of them. That being said, this is going to be a post full of projects from the Color Cast Designs Design Team with little words and tons of inspiration. These are all using the October Releases which included Be Scary, Grateful, and the full December Memories collection. I hope that you will grab a cuppa and enjoy all of their amazing work!   Several of the Design Team girls are on other Design Teams as well as Color Cast Designs (myself included) so you may see footers on their pages for those teams as well, I am all about sharing the love for our craft!

Mini Album//31 minutes for 31 days

Hi Everyone! Thank you for coming by. Grab a cuppa and get ready to read something exciting! Kellie from Kellie Stamps and I are getting together to make October an even better month than it already is! We are getting together to help you get a mini album done in 31 days, with just 31 minutes or less per day! Your mini album can take on any form you want. Both Kellie and I are doing 4×4 albums. I think that I will make one of my personalized albums just for this project!

Kellie and I are both very passionate about crafting and documenting our lives. We both love to scrapbook and both do Project Life® too. But, we both have a lot going on in our lives other than crafting; both being Mom’s, wife’s, business owners and so much more. So…when we were talking the other day, we came up with the idea of dedicating 30 minutes or so to ourselves just to make a fun mini album and get it done in a month. And #30minsfor31days was born!

There is not a theme to this, just make a mini (any size or shape) that you want. Favorite photos, a travel album, photos you have laying around, #fromwhereistand photos, coffee photos…whatever you want!

The point is to make time each day in October for yourself…just 15-30 minutes and make something pretty. Something you love. The best part, at the end of the month you have a mini album to treasure forever! We hope that you will spend October with us making a mini album. Be sure to tag us and use the hashtag #31minsfor31days on your Social Media so we can see your creations!

New Release Thursday//September Release

New Release-September 2015

Happy Thursday Everyone! I am having some technical issues with my Newsletter, so I am sending this as a blog post in the meantime. It is the 3rd Thursday of the month and that means that I have some new releases for you! My next newsletter (Beginning of October), will have some awesome inspiration from the Design Team.

Let’s get started with “Crisp Air“. This is a fun fall set made from maple wood veneer and several different acrylics. Next up is “Harvest“. This is the last set of the seasons sets (Frozen, Bloom and Solstice) for 2015. I hope that you all have enjoyed this series of sets as much as I enjoyed creating them! Fall is my personal favorite season, so I can’t wait to go on some adventures and use these myself!

Crisp Air Harvest

I have decided to add some simple shapes each month to coordinate with that months releases. This month, I have “Giant Ampersands” and several sets of Twinkling Stars and Confetii stars. I am hoping that you all will love these add ons!

August New Releases//Design Team Inspiration//Restocked Items

Hi Everyone! Grab a cuppa as this is a long post! Sorry it has been so long. The last bit of summer kicked my butt with my kids activities and trying to squeeze every last bit of summer in that we could.

I have 4 new releases for you today! I hope that you love them all. First up is “Freakin Weekend“. I am super super excited about this set as it includes the new wood veneer (maple) that I will be using going forward. It is half as thick as what I was using and you can staple right through it! It is lighter in color too. It  is just so good!

Freakin Weekend

To go along with the theme of days of the week, I took the Greige to White acrylic and etched the days of the week in a script font. This greige color (a cross between grey and beige) is so fun to add to just about any project with it’s neutral tones!

Greige Days of the Week

I have a fun and fresh colored kit with acrylics and the new wood veneer for those of you with school related projects! I think that my personal favorite kits are the ones that include wood veneer and acrylics. Here is “Back to School“.

Back to School

I thought that it would be fun to add grade levels in white matte acrylic too. These are being offered individually, so you just order the grades that you want to use. Don’t forget previous years school photos! Click here to order!

Grades 2

And last but not least is “Friyay!”. Just a fun little set to help you record your everyday moments. The sets is all neutrals (storm, smoke and matte white) with your choice of Pomegranate (Bright Pink) or Citronella (Bright Yellow) for the “week in review” piece. This set also comes with some fun stars that can be mixed and matched for little accents.

I am so excited to show you all of the Design Team’s work with the new releases!

I love how Barbara used the “Back to School” set and the “2nd Grade” in this amazingly awesome mini she did of her daughters first day back at school.

I love how Jen Lake used the “Freakin Weekend” set on this pocket page of hers! And, she used her tiny attacher to attach them…LOVE!

Jen Carlson used 2 of the pieces and a few stars from the “Friyay!” set on this gorgeous layout. I love that she used bright pink as that is not a color I see her use often. So good!

And Becky captured her kiddos’s first day back at school in this fun layout using the “Back to School” set along with her kids grades.

Don’t forget to watch Instagram and Facebook for the rest of the Design Teams projects as they complete them throughout the month.

I have also restocked “High Trails Triangles”, “High Trails Expressions”, “Summer Love”, “Currently” and the “Twinkling Stars” in Green Glass. When these sets sell out, I will not be restocking any of these sets again.

Have a great weekend!

New Release Thursday//Restocked Products

Happy Thursday morning! Today I have added 3 brand new products to the store, several new colors of existing products and more inventory to several summer themed sets that were sold out.

Processed with VSCOcam with 4 preset

I know that 4th of July has come and gone for my American friends, but if you haven’t documented it yet, you might want to pick up the “4th of July” set to add to your documentation.

Processed with VSCOcam

Color Coordinating with the 4th of July set is “Stars, No Stripes“. This set is great for so much more than just documenting the 4th of July. 4 of the Circles consist of 3 pieces each (star, circle with star cut out and outer ring) making them fun to mix and match. Also included are a few smaller stars with outlines and solids to mix and match. The 2 and 3 tone look is so fun! Add in that some of the pieces are cut from mirrored acrylic and you have one fun set!

Processed with VSCOcam

Next up is the “Currently” set. This set is a mix of wood veneer, green glass acrylic, white acrylic and teal circles that are etched down to white (my personal favorite pieces). The white “Right Now” is cut from a brand new matte white acrylic and is a much more crisp white than the glossy. I kind of love it lots! I included some traditional “currently” sentiments, but also added in a few new ones; devouring, despising, struggling and celebrating.

In addition to these 3 new sets, I have added Twinkling Stars in Green Glass to coordinate with the “Currently” set and just because it is a new color in the shop and oh-so-pretty!

I have also added the Pink Mirror, Blue Mirror and Silver Mirror to my line up of “A is for Alphabet colors.”

Also, back in limited quantities, I have added inventory to the Happy Trails Triangles, Happy Trails Expressions, Here and Now and Summer Love sets.

Hope that you all have a fabulous weekend!
