Mixing & Matching your Colorcast Designs products.

Coffee Lover LO by ScatteredConfettiCoffee Lover LO by ScatteredConfettiHey there, it’s me again, Kathleen. Today I have another mix & match your Colorcast Designs products blogpost for you! (See the first one here)

On this layout you can find pieces from six different collections/sets!

Coffee Lover LO by ScatteredConfettiCoffee Lover LO by ScatteredConfettiThe circle wood veneer, the coffee cup and the “coffee lover” phrase are all from the Coffee Lovers set (which is the perfect set for me!! :D). The yellow acrylic star is from the Summer Love release, the #yummy wood veneer piece is from the Foodie set and the #forreal wood veneer piece from the #Hashtagit release. Then I also added a white acrylic conversation heart and a golden ampersand!

I think when you look at this page, you wouldn’t notice that there were six different collections on there because they go so well together! And that’s what I love about scrapbooking products, when I can mix and match them the way I want!

I hope I inspired you to take out all your Colorcast Designs products and mix and match them together on a single project! 🙂

Wanderlust Layout.

Wanderlust LO ScatteredConfettiHey there 🙂 Today I (Kathleen) am sharing a layout with you that I made using some pretty pieces of the Wanderlust set. I think it’s the perfect set to go with any travel and vacation photos 🙂

And now that the summer holidays here in Germany come nearer and nearer I am in full wanderlust-mode!! I can’t think about much else 😀 This summer we’ll be back at the Costa Brava in Spain and if you have seen the last layout I posted here on the blog, you might know that I am completely in love with this region!! Especially the little town of Cadaqués, where the photo of the LO last time and this one were taken – it’s just so picturesque!!

Anyway, I kept the LO quite simple (I made it after a Marcy Penner LO that I had pinned) in order to keep the focus on the pretty wood veneer and acrylic piece and my journaling.

The photo doesn’t do the bright blue justice – it’s even prettier in person! And it fits my new-found love for the colours blue and brown (on my layouts) perfectly 🙂

I guess this weekend I’ll need to scrap some more pictures of our past Costa Brava trips to still the urgent sense of wanderlusting and travelling 🙂

What about you, is there a place where you always find yourself going back to in your holidays?

“Summer Love” Layout

Hey y’all! It’s me again, Kathleen, and today I want to share a layout with you that I made using the beautiful new Summer Love set.

Right when I saw this set, I was in love! I love the bright pink that makes me thing of bougainvillea and peonies, and the fresh white and yellow bits and pieces in the set that remind me of icecream 😀

When searching for a photo to use with this set, I immedietely knew where to look. On our last trip to the Costa Brava (Spain) we also went to Cadaqués, a beautiful little fishermen’s village and it was full of bright colours. On every corner you turned you would find a new place that would make you ooh and aah!

I kept the layout rather simple: white cardstock as the basis, just one patterned paper, a tag, a few bits and pieces (ephemera, vellum, enamel dots) from my stash, some stamping and watercolour / acrylic paint accents and the layout was almost done. Then I only needed to add my Colorcast Designs products (from the Summer Love set and the #fromwhereistand from the #Hashtagit set), and it was done 🙂

I hope you feel inspired now to put your Colorcast Designs products to good use (or get the Summer Love set, if you haven’t yet! There are only 3 left!)

Mixing & Matching Products on a Layout

Hey there, it’s me again, Kathleen, and today I want to show you a layout that I made using some of my favourite Colorcast Designs products 🙂

When I got started, I didn’t have a clear idea in mind of what this layout should look like. The only things I knew were a) I wanted to use this photo, b) I wanted to use some Colorcast Designs products (so I picked out those from my stash that would fit the photo) and c) I definitely wanted to use some papers of the new Dear Lizzy “Fine & Dandy” collection.

TheRing_ColorcastDesigns_Scrapbooking_Layout_ScatteredConfetti_1Well, those were actually all the essential things I needed for this layout – except an idea for a layout in the sense of a sketch.. I had no clue where to put what and kept sliding things around for quite a while.

As you can see, I mixed many different products and collections on it. I used the #happy and #whatmattersmost from the #hashtagit set, the “True Love” heart from the conversation hearts set (I absolutely adore those – the colours are even better in person than on the picture!!) and also a gold ampersand.

TheRing_ColorcastDesigns_Scrapbooking_Layout_ScatteredConfetti_2TheRing_ColorcastDesigns_Scrapbooking_Layout_ScatteredConfetti_3I have loooved (and hoarded collected) wood veneers for as long as I can think, but those acrylic pieces are stealing my heart as well! Seriously, the colours are gorgeous! The photo doesn’t do the pretty pink and bright yellow justice.

TheRing_ColorcastDesigns_Scrapbooking_Layout_ScatteredConfetti_4 I have to admit that at the beginning I felt a bit uncomfortable with the combination of pink, red and yellow (mainly because I very rarely use red on my projects), but I think they look great together 🙂

I hope I could give you some ideas for how to mix & match your Colorcast Designs products with things from your stash 🙂
